Beaded Necklace Instructions – Free Pattern
This is a beautiful multi-strand pearl necklace. Great look for the office or for a night out on the town. The brown faceted shell beads work well with today’s trendy colors and with the classic colors of fall. Instructions for the matching earrings are here.
You’ll need these supplies:(necklace only)
- 69 – 6mm White fresh water pearls; potato shaped
- 100 – 5mm to 6mm White water pearls; rice shaped
- 10 – 15mm Brown or dark gold oyster shell faceted beads; square
- 21 – 4mm faceted goldfill beads
- 4 crimp beads; goldtone
- Beading wire
- S clasp; gold tone
You’ll need these tools:
- Crimping plyers
- Wire cutters
Directions:
1.) Cut 26 inches of beading wire. Bead one crimp bead, one 4mm faceted gold bead and one of the sides of the clasp. Bring the wire around and back through the 4mm faceted gold bead and the crimp bead. Crimp the crimp bead leaving 1/4 inch tail. Bead over the tail with the next 4mm faceted gold bead.
2.) Bead 20 potato shaped pearls, one gold bead, 10 potato shaped pearls and one gold bead.
3.) Bead: one oyster shell bead and one potato shaped pearl. Repeat 8 times. Bead one oyster shell bead.
4.) Bead one gold bead, 10 potato shaped pearls, one gold bead, 20 potato shaped pearls and one gold bead.
5.) Bead a crimp bead and then a gold bead. Go through the second side of the clasp, back through the gold bead and the crimp bead plus one or two more of the next beads. Crimp the crimp bead and trim the tail.
6.) Start the second strand by cutting 28 inches of beading wire. Bead one crimp bead, one 4mm faceted gold bead and one of the sides of the clasp. Bring the wire around and back through the 4mm faceted gold bead and the crimp bead. Crimp the crimp bead leaving 1/4 inch tail. Bead over the tail with the next 4mm faceted gold bead.
7.) Bead 10 rice pearls then one 4mm faceted gold bead. Repeat 9 times.
8.) Bead a crimp bead and then a gold bead. Go through the second side of the clasp, back through the gold bead and the crimp bead plus one or two more of the next beads. Crimp the crimp bead and trim the tail.
