I really like how this wire wrapped piece came out. Picture jasper is one of my favorite stones and with the goldtone wire it looks great.
Plus, I made double beaded wraps, which I have not seen before and think it *may* be a first. I hope you enjoy it and please feel free to make one up yourself and if you share the directions, share the url!
You’ll need these supplies:
- 22 and 18 gauge gold tone wire
- 26- 4mm glass druks, bronze
- 12 – 15mm picture jasper twist beads
- one 32-35mm picture jasper donut
You’ll need these tools:
- Bent nose or chain nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- round nose pliers
- file
Directions for this Tutorial:
1.) Make a wire coiled clasp. Make two jumprings out of 18 gauge wire to connect the clasp to the beaded chain on the necklace.
2.) Make two beaded chains with 6 double wrapped beads using the 4mm glass druks and 6 bead wraps using the picture jasper twists.(see picture) Make your donut into a wire wrapped donut.
3.) You’ll need to make one bead wrap that is holding the donut pendant. First loop and wrap connecting to one chain, put on one 4mm druk bead, the pendant loop and then another 4mm druk bead. Then loop and wrap the other side and connect to the other chain. Bend this bead wrap slightly in the center so that the pendant falls naturally when being worn.
4.) Connect your clasp with the jumprings. Enjoy!
