Deep red primitive hearts in crackle glass – how could I resist doing something with these beautiful beads and wire? I did some fun bead earrings to match up. Enjoy!
You’ll need these supplies:
- 1 15mm red crackle glass hearts
- 6 inches sterling silver 22 gauge wire; cut into two 3-inch pieces
You’ll need these tools:
- wire cutters; flush cutters
- Round nose pliers
- Bent nose or chain nose pliers
Directions for this Tutorial:
For each earring:
1. Make a loose or open spiral with one of the 3″ pieces of wire.
2. Loop and string the bead on the wire. Leaving enough room to wrap at the top of the bead and the bottom of the bead, loop and wrap the top.
3. Bring the wire in front of the bead and wrap around the loop at the bottom so that it resembles the top loop.
4. Attach the spiral to the bottom loop. Be sure the the loop allows the spiral to lay flat on the same side the heart lays.
