Spirals are standards in much of today’s wire working jewelry. Here is how to make a connecting link using a spiral.
You’ll need these supplies:
- 4-inches 20 gauge wire or thicker
You’ll need these tools:
- wire cutters; flush cutters
- Round nose pliers
- Bent nose or chain nose pliers
Directions for this Tutorial:
1.) Create your spiral stop before you get to the last time your wire goes around.
2.) Grasp the wire with your round nose pliers.
3.) Push the wire around the pliers making a loop.
4.) Release the wire from the pliers and work the end into the spiral again.
5.) Go past half way and then trim your wire and make your final loop so it sits across from the first loop. You can tap with a plastic hammer to harden or flatten with a hammer.
