You can create beautiful fold and mail stationary to use for writing notes to friends and family. Even in today’s electronic age, people still like to get snail mail. These pieces of stationary are simple to make and practical to use as they require no envelope to mail.
To make the fold and mail stationary: Print out the template on card stock.
Cut the card stock in half so that you have two of the fold and mail stationary sheets. Then decorate your stationary using rubber stamps and art techniques. Here are some variations:
This spring stationary, as seen in the feature photo, was made with a flower stamp and colored in with markers. I went around the edges with a purple stamp pad to give it some color.
For this set of graduation tri-fold stationary I used scrapbook stickers to embellish the top and the bottom corner. I also used the same theme of stickers to hold together the folded paper.
For this set of tri-fold stationary, I used a ‘best friends’ quote from a rub-on embellishment that you can find at most craft stores in the paper and woos sections. I also made some hearts with a paper punch. I find when working with youth groups punches are very economical when decorating with paper.
This graduation set was very easy. I used card stock stickers. These are placed on top and the bottom – not where the folds are, as they make the stationary too thick to fold if the stickers are placed there.
The stickers I used for the fall stationary are made out of vellum and can be found in the paper section of your craft store. Vellum is very thin and allows the card stock to fold as it should for the tri-fold stationary to work. I created border art for this fall set.
Tri-fold the sheets and tape down the edge with stickers. Address the front of the stationary and mail. Stamp with the same amount your use to send a regular letter.
Enjoy!
