Halloween Toasted Bats Recipe

These tasty bats make a great bread side for a variety of meals as you can use your choice of bread dipping spices.

Ingredients:

  • Pita bread or French bread
  • Bat cookie cutter
  • Extra Virgin olive oil
  • Bread dipping spices

Preparation:

Preheat the oven at 300 degrees F. Mix together the olive oil and the dipping spices according to package directions. Cut bat shapes out of the pita bread and separate the two sides. Lay the bats on a cookie sheet with the smooth side of the bread down. Brush the bats with the mixed olive oil. Toast in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes.
If you are using these as a side for a meal, serve as it. If you are serving them as a party dish, serve with more of the bead dipping spices mixed with olive oil or sour cream.
