Spirals are standards in much of today’s wire working jewelry. Here is how to make wire ring project that is adjustable, simple and trendy.
You’ll need these supplies:
- 6-inches 16 gauge wire
You’ll need these tools:
- wire cutters; flush cutters
- Round nose pliers
- Bent nose or chain nose pliers
- Anvil
- Hammer
- Ring mandrel
Directions for this Tutorial:
1.) Be sure that both ends of your wire are cut with flush cutters.
2.) Create your open spiral on both ends, working towards the center of your wire until you have 1.5-2-inches of straight wire left.
3.) Hammer the spirals on an anvil, making interesting marks.
4.) Wrap the ring around the ring mandrel at the size you are looking for. Adjust the ring spirals so they sit on top of each other, just overlapping a bit. Note: the S should be the size from knuckle to knuckle. If it is longer, tighten your spirals.
