Wire Wrapping Jewelry – Wrap a Wire Coil S Clasp Project

Coils are fun to use, although they can be a pain to make by hand. If you will be making coils often to make wire clasps or other coil pieces, I suggest you get a coiler.

You’ll need these supplies:

  • 10-12-inches 21 or 22 gauge wire
  • 3-inches 16 or 18 gauge wire or thicker

You’ll need these tools:

  • wire cutters; flush cutters
  • Round nose pliers
  • Bent nose or chain nose pliers
  • Coiler(optional)
  • Hammer
  • Anvil or steel plate

Directions for this Tutorial:
1.) Wrap or create a 2-inch coil to go over the 16-inch gauge wire. Place what you have left over of the 21-inch gauge wire to the side.
