Wire Wrapping Jewelry – Wire Topped Topaz Raindrops Bead Earrings Project

These raindrops are made from tear shaped beads that are quartz with blue topaz veining through them. I love the look of the topaz and decided to top it with some silver wire. These are very much like the Opal Drop Earrings, but they have more wire on the top.

You’ll need these supplies:

  • 2 – 15mm – 20 mm teardrop Quartz Topaz; top drilled
  • 2 ear wires; 24-inches in two 12-inch pieces
  • 22 gauge silver wire
  • You’ll need these tools:

  • wire cutters; flush cutters
  • Round nose pliers
  • Bent nose or chain nose pliers

  • Directions for this Tutorial:

1.) Create a loop and wrap using your 22 gauge silver wire.

2.) Bead on your topaz bead.

3.) Wrap the wire around the top of the bead in a haphazard way. Continue to wrap it working your way down the bead and then back up the bead. Tuck the end.

    Enjoy!
