Handmade Card Making Ideas: Shade Late Birthday Card

Cute lamp stamped image with the phrase ‘a birthday wish… just a shade late.’ A simple design like this one makes perfect cards. This card used handmade card sketch #36.

You’ll need these supplies:

  • card blank
  • pattern paper, size of the card blank front
  • cardstock; 2 inch strip; white block for stamping
  • 2 ribbons; 1 inch longer than the length of the card
  • stamped image; stamps used are from Stampin’ Up Finished with Love
  • glue, xyron, glue dots, tape; personal preference
  • chalk and markers; used to embellish the die cuts

Card Making Instructions:

  1. Stamp and color the lamp stamp on white card stock block. Ink the edges.
  2. Knot the two ribbons together with an overhand knot. Attach to the card stock strip and tape on the back. Attach block to the lower half of the pattern paper. Stamp the birthday phrase.
  3. Attach stamped image as shown.
