Make a Snake Knot Necklace Teen Craft

This knot tying necklace is a larger project for teens to make if they enjoy making the Chinese Snake Knot.

You’ll need:

• 1 nine-foot piece of satin or similar cording
• Craft glue and toothpick
• 4 large hole beads; 2 larger and 2 smaller
• Directions for the Chinese Snake Knot

Fold the cord in half. Start your beginning snake knot leaving a half-inch loop.

1. Make 25 snake knots.
2. Add a large hole bead by putting both cords through the hole in the bead.
3. Make 15 snake knots.
4. Add your center decorative bead by putting both cords through the hole in the bead.
5. Make 15 snake knots.
6. Add a large hole bead by putting both cords through the hole in the bead.
7. Make 25 snake knots.

To make the necklace longer or shorter, add or subtract the number of knots in each section equally.
