Instructions for wire wrapping an ear wire I’ve called the Swirl Ear Wire. it is very simple and sturdy if used with a jumpring.
You’ll need these supplies:
- wire, 20; 3 inch piece per wire
You’ll need these tools:
- Bent nose or chain nose pliers
- round nose pliers
- flush cutter
- knitting needle, size 10
- file
Directions for this Tutorial:
1.) Start by making an open spiral on the one end of the wire.
2.) After you get just past one full turn, bend the wire 90 degrees straight up. Work harden the swirl by tapping it with your hammer on your anvil a bit.
3.) Using your knitting needle create your hook for your ear wire. After both are done, trim the ends equally. File smooth the edges.
