I’ve never seen this type of wrapped link done, although I’m sure someone has done this type before. It is advanced wire wrapping as you’ll need to be careful of the beads and the wraps when your doing the last three wire wraps. You can use plastic coated tools to grasp the beads. Or felt wrap your bead before grasping with the pliers. This will take some practice, but the look is worth it!
You’ll need these supplies:
- wire; 22 gauge(you can use other gauges, but the measurements will need to be adjusted.)
- beads that fit on the wire
You’ll need these tools:
- Bent nose or chain nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- round nose pliers
- file
Directions for this Tutorial:
1.) Cut 4 inches of 22 gauge wire. Make an eye loop on one end. Bead two 4mm beads. Leave a 8mm space and loop and wrap the end.
2.) On the third wrap come around the bead. Holding the bead close, wrap twice in the middle.
3.) Coming up around the second time, wrap around the bead.
4.) Wrap the wire three times. This should leave you at the loop.
