Are you going on vacation to the beach this year; or did you already go? One of the fun things about vacationing at the beach is all the wonderful treasures you find. Place them in a jar with some of the sand from the beach, then mark it. Do this for all the beaches you visit to keep your vacation with all throughout the year.
Your teen can decorate a shelf in their room to hold all of their ‘beaches’ and make a cute display.
Tips for making a Beach Treasures Jar:
* Clean all of the items before hand and be sure that they are dry before you close the lid. If you aren’t sure, don’t glue the lid on. Allow yourself the ability to open it back up.
* Make a cute sign you can put in the sand marking off which beach it is you are looking at.
* Choose found items that are unique to the beach you have visited.
* Decorate the lid with fabric, decoupage or paint. Use a ribbon around the top of the jar. You can hang a tag with the beach name and date from the ribbon.
