Seashell Candles – Teen Beach Crafts

These candles are great for a beach themed bathroom or bedroom.

You’ll need these supplies to make this beach craft:

• Seashells to make into candles and one into a stand
• Wax
• Wick
• Melting pot
• Tack or glue dot
• Hot glue

Clean and dry your seashells. Using the hot glue, make a stand for your shell candle being sure that the candle part is set level.

Set the wick of your candle. I used a glue dot on the bottom of my wick under the tab so it would stick. I held the wick straight my self for the flat candle and wrapped the wick around a paint brush on the other.

Melt your wax in a melting pot or double boiler and pour it into the shells. Give the candles time to harden.

Trim the wicks to 1/2 of an inch and light them up. Be sure your teen does this with your permission and safely in your home.
