This fun Halloween recipe is great for older kids and teen parties. The dip can be spooned unto plates, but it works well in small Dixie type cups too.

Ingredients:

  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 can lemon pie filling
  • parchment paper
  • pastry piping kit or plastic bag

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and line your cookie sheet with a piece of parchment paper.
Using your beater on high speed, beat together 3 large egg whites, 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar and 1/8 tsp. salt until it is light and fluffy. Still using your beater, very gradually add your sugar. Then add your vanilla.Place mixture into your pastry bag or plastic bag. Cut a hole in the bottom corner of the plastic bag to pipe out. Pipe out 3-inch bone shapes on the cookie sheet. Bake for one hour and turn off the oven, let sit in the oven for one more hour. Makes about 4 dozen bones.

Serve with radioactive dip(lemon pie filling).
